Hensgens Wins House Seat

Republican Bob Hensgens has won a special primary election for an open Acadiana-area seat in the Louisiana House.Hensgens, the mayor of Gueydan, received 52 percent of the vote Saturday to 48 percent for fellow Republican Linda Hardee, the retired former mayor of Kaplan.  The vacancy was created when Jonathan Perry was elected to the state Senate.
