There's an old adage that a dinner date isn't about food...or is it??

We have countless dating coaches, matchmakers & love gurus offering tips to a successful first date, how to cultivate & maintain a great relationship, and more.

Here's a rarely offered piece of advice. If you want to increase the likelihood of a second date, order the same food as your dining companion.

The Daily Mail reports research conducted at the University of Chicago indicates ordering the same food as your date establishes trust, and a sense of commonality. The findings also hold true for a business lunch. Negotiations proceed far more quickly.

Remember, it's ok to be a little nervous. DON'T discuss politics or sex on a first date.

On a personal note: Put your phone away. That's a biggie with me and I doubt I'm alone on that.
