On August 21st, we will get to experience a total solar eclipse. This hasn't happened since 1979, so obviously we're all pretty pumped about it. This video shows you what percentage of the solar eclipse you can expect to experience depending on where in Louisiana you will be.

Larry Koehn of Clarksville, Tennennesse is an awesome human, because he's created awesome videos showing how the solar eclipse will look in different cities across every state. You can see these videos over at shadowandsubstance.com.

Louisiana is expected to experience about 80% of the sun to be blocked, but this will vary slightly city to city.

KATC reports that "NASA also has a great website devoted to the eclipse, with detailed information about the science of the event, but also safety tips and party planning tips." You can check out all this greatness here.
