The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will need to close Highway 103 at the bridge about one mile north of U.S. 190 starting on Monday.

DOTD officials says the closure is needed so that workers can replace the bridge deck and do some surfacing.

The project will start Monday, January 11, and last likely through Thursday, January 14.

DOTD says suggests that drivers use the other sections of U.S. 190 and Louisiana Highway 104 for detours.

The project will start Monday weather permitting.
