Home And Storage Units Robbed In St. Landry Parish, Police Looking For Suspects

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office says a home off of Heidi B Road near Highway 104 in Lawtell and storage units off Highway 93 in Cankton have been robbed.

The alleged home burglary happened on January 27. The homeowner told deputies that numerous items had been taken including family jewelry and a personal safe containing a substantial amount of money both in currency and in coins.

Earlier in the year, in what appears to be a separate incident on January 17 off Highway 93 in Cankton. Authorities say the suspect cut the lock to one storage unit then made his way through the wall structure of seven more units from the inside.
