Hospital & Nursing Home Evacuations

Are the state's hospitals and nursing homes prepared for possible evacuations from rising river waters? State Health Officer Dr. Jimmy Guidry says state officials are assessing the potential need to evacuate some facilities.  Dr. Guidry says, so far, just one nursing home has been evacuated due to threatening high water, and one hospital has partially evacuated. He says there are several more that are close to Mississippi River levees.
