LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — A Houma woman who pleaded guilty to helping more than 400 illegal immigrants obtain Louisiana identification cards has been sentenced to 33 months in prison.

A federal judge in Lafayette also on Friday sentenced 41-year-old Holly Calva to one year of supervised release following her prison term.

Prosecutors say Calva charged $400 to provide illegal immigrants with documents allowing them to obtain the cards from the Office of Motor Vehicles.

Roughly 400 people listed Calva's home address as their residence. Calva allegedly lied to OMV employees and said she worked for a company that brought in seasonal workers.
