Lafayette Firefighters were called out to a fire at 100 Bailey Drive this afternoon. Heavy smoke was coming from the home when crews entered and found the fire in the attic. The fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes. The home interior sustained heavy smoke damage. Neighbors said the house was vacant for several years and they had noticed a of number people going in and out at night.

Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the Lafayette Fire Department at 291-8716 or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
