There are a lot of reasons to like Hugh Jackman. I have a good friend who just likes to look at him. I personally like his movies and his vesatility as an actor. I also like the fact that he takes his celebrity status as a platform to make things better for all of us.

Jackman recently announced that for the fourth time he has been treated for skin cancer. That's right, four times the actor has had to be treated for Basal-cell carcinoma. While this particular form of skin cancer is not a worst case scenario, it still requires attention. Jackman used the opportunity to warn others of the dangers of this kind of malady.

an example of what happens when you don't wear sunscreen.  Basal Cell.  The mildest form of cancer, but serious, nonetheless.  Please use sunscreen and get regular check-ups.

That comment was posted to Jackman's Twitter account. He also used the platform as he also did in 2013 and 2014 to remind his followers of the seriousness of the situation. He also encouraged others to make sure they are taking proper precautions such as using sunscreen.

Jackman's representatives told media outlets that his procedure was successful and a complete recovery is expected.
