I-10 Lane Closures Begin Today

The construction of the I-10 cable barrier system continues in Iberville and West Baton Rouge Parishes. Beginning today (Monday) and lasting until Sunday, March 5, there will be nightly lane closures happening from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. each night. The work will happen from mile post 135 to mile post 137. Heavy delays are expected.

Suggested Detour Route: Take I-10 EB to I-49 NB. Proceed north to US 190 EB. Take US 190 east to LA 415. Proceed south on LA 415 SB to I-10 EB.

Also beginning Monday, there will be Eastbound nightly lane closures happening from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. each night from mile post 134 to mile post 136 in Iberville to West Baton Rouge Parishes. Heavy delays are expected. This will last until Wednesday.

Suggested Detour Route: Take I-10 EB to I-49 NB. Proceed north to US 190 EB. Take US 190 east to LA 415. Proceed south on LA 415 SB to I-10 EB.

And, for the next 3 weeks, there will be alternating nightly lane closures from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. each night in both directions from mile post 134 to mile post 139. This will last through Sunday, March 12.
