I-10 Widening Project Continues With Road Closures In Breaux Bridge

By Fall 2019, DOTD workers are scheduled to complete a $124.7 million widening project that will widen a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge. This will allow for one extra lane of travel in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La. 328 (Rees Street in Breaux Bridge).

Beginning tonight and lasting until at least Monday, July 24, Rees Street at I-10 will be closed because of construction work. This will happen nightly from 8 PM to 6 AM, weather permitting.

The detour route for south bound traffic will be I-10 west to Louisiana Avenue then back to I-10 east to LA 328 to continue south.

The detour route for north bound traffic will be I-10 east to LA 347 then back to I-10 west to LA 328 to continue north.
