We've heard about the proposed I-49 Connector corridor for years now, but here's how it would actually look in action.

KATC reports that the Louisiana DOTD and the Development and Lafayette Connector Partners introduced the first animated traffic model of the proposed I-49 connector to the Community Working Group and Technical Advisory Committee earlier this week.

The animated model shows how the I-49 connector would operate at Kaliste Saloom, but there are plans for DOTD to release similar proposals for other intersections along I-49 in the future.

What do you think of the proposal? How would these changes affect your commute? How would it affect your community or your area?
