Iberia Board Gets Mixed Revenue Review

The news is a mixed bag when it comes to revenue figures for the Iberia Parish School Board.  Revenues are up down a bit month to month, but had been up.

February things were down, but the recent March figures show things are picking up.  The school board was presented with the latest comparison of March 2012 and March 2013.

Board sales tax collections were $2.2 million for March 2013 which are down 7.68 percent from the $2.4 million brought in to the board in March of last year.

On the up side of things, those March 2012 sales tax collections were 30 percent higher that collections in March of 2011. At that time, they collected on $1.8 million.
