Iberia Deputies Arrest Attempted Homicide Suspect

Iberia deputies have arrested 17-year-old Jules Roman of New Iberia for firing shots at a woman in the 100 block of Sparrow Street.

Police say the female victim told them Roman tried to shoot her.

She says Roman came to her home looking for her son, as the two were involved in a previous altercation of some kind.

After Roman shot at the woman, her husband came outside and fired a gun in the air to scare off the suspects.

Roman ran from the area, but police track him down.

He was arrested and is in jail on a $50,000 bond.
