Iberia Deputies Make Arrest In Attempted Murder Case

Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal says his detectives have arrested 25-year-old Lavonda Lacroix for second degree attempted murder.

Detectives say they believe Lacroix, already in jail on charges of possession of stolen property, is responsible for shooting a 48-year-old man on November 10.

Investigators say they issued the warrant while Lacroix was in jail, and Lacroix was booked on the most recent charges.

Detectives say they will continue to investigate as they believe more arrests in the case are possible.
