UPDATE – Suspect Arrested In New Iberia Shooting

Update: 17-year-old Austin Jackson has been arrested by Jeanerette Marshals for the alleged attempted murder in the 700 block of Ann Street in New Iberia.

One person has already been arrested in the case, and now Iberia Parish Sheriff's officials have an active warrant out for 17-year-old Austin Rashaad Jackson after last week's shooting in the 700 block of Ann Street in New Iberia.

Last week, an 18-year-old victim was shot during some type of confrontation with several people.  He was treated at a hospital and released.

20-year-old Kareem Jamal Wilson was charged with principal to attempted first degree murder, and now police are seeking Jackson in relation to the case.

Police are asking anyone one know the whereabouts about Jackson to call the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-369-3711.
