Iberia Parish Man Jailed For Not Registering As A Sex Offender
Iberia Parish Law Enforcement officials captured Anthony Lancelin of Iberia Parish last week for failing to register as a sex offender.
19-year-old Joanne Keel, Lancelin’s girlfriend, was also arrested for obstruction of justice. She was caught housing Lancelin at her residence in New Iberia.
The organizations behind the arrest were the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office and the specialty team called the Bureau of Investigations Sex Offender Registration Unit, with help from the US Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force.
Sheriff Ackal and the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry want to remind everyone when a person who has been convicted of a sexual offense, and they fail to register as a sexual offender, a felony warrant is immediately issued for their arrest.
