Iberia Parish Man Pleads Guilty To Sex With Minor

55 year old Ray Paul Dionne pleaded guilty today before District Judge Richard Haik to one count of travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual contact.

Dionne admitted to traveling to North Carolina in June and August of 2012 to engage in sex with a minor under the age of 12. Authorities learned that Dionne was at a North Carolina home and raided the home. They discovered Dionne lying in bed with the child.

Dionne faces 5 to 30 years in jail, five years to life supervised release and a $250,000 fine. A sentencing date has not been set.
