32-year-old Wendy Mathis of Duson and 62-year-old Cleveland Sereal of Carencro have been booked into the Iberia Parish Jail after Iberia Parish Sheriff's Deputies say they found drugs in their vehicle during a traffic stop.

Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal says it happened near Weeks Island Road on Tuesday as deputies pulled over the vehicle for an alleged traffic violation as it was heading west on Highway 90. Officers say that's when they found "crack" cocaine, methadone and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Mathis, the driver, was charged with possession of schedule II narcotics, (traffic citation) vehicles following too close and drug paraphernalia, while the passenger, Cleveland Sereal of Carencro, was charged with possession of schedule II narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
