With the majority of America now much more familiar with ALS due to the 'Ice Bucket Challenge', the team from KPEL 96.5, along with the team from Wingin It Wednesday want to help continue the campaign.

The Ice Bucket Challenge was started by Pete Frates, a Beverly Mass. resident who has been living with ALS since 2012. In his efforts to bring awareness to ALS, he has created a massive viral social media wave of challenge videos that has rapidly spread across the country.

Locally, the Ice Bucket Challenge has been accepted by Scott Prather from our sister station ESPN1420, as well as coach Mark Hudspeth. Steve Gleason, Drew Brees, Rob Ryan and Joe Vitt from the New Orleans Saints also participated in the chilly endeavor, with Brees throwing the gauntlet at Bubba Watson and Ellen Degeneres and Gov. Bobby Jindal, who quickly responded with his own video and challenge to Les Miles, Joe Scarborough and Willie Robertson. The following video features a compilation of Ice Bucket Challenge videos, as well as Steve Gleason's moving message:
