Sixty-three elected officials representing Acadiana say "I'm With Mary" and are endorsing her for re-election to the U.S. Senate.

“I am grateful and humbled by the broad and deep support our campaign has received from more than 500 elected officials throughout Louisiana, especially from leaders in Acadiana,” said U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu. “Whether Republicans, Democrats, or Independents, I have worked with these local leaders and used Louisiana’s seniority in the Senate to green-light a larger VA clinic and open up 8.3 million acres in the Gulf for drilling, creating more high-paying energy jobs.”

Landrieu says she's delivered for Acadiana "time and time again." She cites her role in teaming up with U.S. Rep. Charles Boustany in bringing the new VA clinic to Lafayette, as well as the work she says she does in the energy sector, pertaining to the permitting process and drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

“Few have done more for Lafayette's people," says State Rep. Vincent J. Pierre. "Senator Landrieu has created high-paying jobs, supported our universities, and grown small businesses right here in Acadiana. We can't afford to lose Mary, and I'm proud to support her.”

“Lafayette has no greater friend and champion than Mary Landrieu," proclaims Lafayette City-Parish Council Member Kenneth P. Boudreaux. "Whenever we need her, she is there and never gives up for the people of my district, the city, the Parish of Lafayette, or our state. She was with us and our firefighters in securing our SAFER grant, she was with us during our housing crisis. Mary also stood with us and the postal workers to maintain jobs and services, and has always been with us, that is why I am with Mary, and back her for another term in the U.S. Senate.”

“I strongly support Senator Landrieu because she has consistently worked across the aisle to make sure veterans like me are taken care of," states State Representative Jack Montoucet. "And as a former firefighter, I appreciate that she has always made sure that first responders have the resources they need to do their jobs.”
