The Inaugural "Pets for Disabled Vets" fundraiser will take place on June 24th, 2017.

The event, a Texas-style BBQ brisket plate lunch, will raise funds that will be used to match service companion dogs with eligible disabled veterans.

Each veteran that gets matched with a dog will receive:

  • a spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped Labrador
  • dog crate and pad, bowl, chew toys
  • service vest and lead/leash
  • 1 year's supply of food and flea/tick prevention

All dogs will be trained for obedience, custom tasks and socialization.

The event will feature BBQ brisket plate lunches (pick-up from 11am - 5pm), a Cajun band from noon until 3, kids activities, live auction, and gun raffle. Bring your lawn chairs, refreshments will be available.
