James Panos, owner of Desperado's Gentleman's Cabaret, has filed a motion in federal court seek to a change of venue.  The indicted club owner says there has been too much media attention about his case, and that the coverage has prejudiced any potential jury pool.

Panos also said in his motion that he wants a total review of the government's case against him.  He wants a sample of any illicit drug that federal prosecutors say were on the premises.

The Lafayette attorney for Panos, Scott Iles, says that his client wants the federal government to give him a significant amount of the drug they claim they found so that he can have independent testing done on the sample.

James Panos was indicted last year on a charge of "maintaining drug involved premises."
