Injury to Broadway Could End QB’s Season

At the end of Louisiana's loss to ULM Saturday night, Quarterback Terrance Broadway appeared back on the sidelines.

Coaches, fans and players didn't like what they saw.

Broadway's right wrist was in a cast and his arm in a sling after being injured in the fourth quarter of the game at Cajun Field.

The junior from Baton Rouge was scrambling on third down in ULM territory at the 31 yard line.  After delivering a pass, Broadway went down to the turf and used his right arm to break his fall.  He came up holding his wrist and was taken to the locker room.

The loss is a big blow to the Cajuns, who began the season with Broadway as their only experienced signal-caller.  Redshirt freshman Brooks Haack, who won the backup job in fall camp, came in and performed admirably in relief, completing 10-14 passes for 126 yards and a touchdown.

With the arm in a cast, it's almost certain Broadway will not play next week against South Alabama.  His status for the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl is uncertain at this time.
