All lanes are now open on I - 10 West, while I-10 East remains closed to traffic at milepost 74 (near Egan) due to a fatal crash. Eastbound traffic is not moving and motorists are advised to use the Egan Highway as an alternate route. The queue from this incident has reached six miles in length on I - 10 East. There is no queue on I - 10 West.

Louisiana State Police have closed down both lanes of Interstate Ten near the Egan Exit which is around mile marker 74 due to a crash.

State Police say that several cars were involved in a crash, and at least one person has died as a result of the crash.

State Police say while both lanes of I-10 eastbound are are now closed, the westbound side remains open, but traffic is very heavy.

State Police say that the crash involved one 18-wheeler and three cars.
