Iota Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In, Charged With First Degree Murder
IOTA, La. (KPEL) -- The person believed to be responsible for the shooting death of a Rayne man has turned himself in, according to the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Wayne Melancon says 23-year-old Nathaniel Wiltz was shot and killed by 23-year-old Jarrett Andrews.
According to Melancon, deputies were dispatched Saturday to a home on John Circle in Iota after receiving a call from a woman about a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Wiltz dead from a gunshot wound.
Andrews has been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail and is being held on a $350,000 bond. He has been charged with first degree murder.
