Iota Woman Arrested On Indecency Charges

A 21-year-old Iota woman was arrested today for alleged indecent behavior with a 12-year-old girl.

According to sheriff's spokeswoman Maxine Trahan, Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon announced investigators arrested Katelyn P. Lapoint Bedoya for an incident reported on June 24.

Distict Judge Kristian Earles set Bedoya's bond at $100,000.

No details of the investigation have been released at this time.
