IPSO Investigating New Iberia Shooting

Few details have been released for a shooting in Iberia Parish.

Sheriff's spokesman Maj. Ryan Turner reported deputies found a deceased male victim with a gunshot wound to the head around 7 a.m. this morning.

The victim was located in a parked car in the 300 block of Field Street.

The Iberia Parish Coroner's Office is withholding the name of the victim until the man's next of kin is notified.
