Is The Space Program Doomed? : Afternoon Drive Home

Slate did a recent piece with comments from Robert Zubrin, an author that writes about space travel and the future of exploration.  He says that the Obama budget cuts NASA to the point that it might threaten American space exploration.

According to the article, the Obama 2013 budget cuts funds from two key areas of NASA.

Does this administration want to totally scrap space travel or should we not worry about space travel?  What do you think?
