CAIRO (AP) — Negotiators for the Israelis and the Palestinians say talks will resume this morning in Cairo in an effort to achieve a longer-lasting peace.

Meanwhile, a cease-fire in the Gaza war that took effect just after midnight is holding. High school students in Gaza are filling the streets as they head off to pick up their graduation certificates.

People are waiting to buy fuel for generators as power and communication workers struggle to fix cables damaged in the fighting. And long lines are forming at ATMs.
