Former NFL Running Back and LSU Great Jacob Hester will be the keynote speaker at a youth Football clinic put on by the Independence Bowl Foundation.

 Jacob Hester will be Keynote Speaker at Independence Bowl Youth Football Clinic

Shreveport, La. – Former LSU running back Jacob Hester will serve as the keynote speaker for the Independence Bowl Youth Football Clinic on Saturday, June 13. The clinic runs from 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Independence Stadium.

Hester played six NFL seasons with the San Diego Chargers and the Denver Broncos.

Hester will be joined at the clinic by coaches from Louisiana at Monroe, Grambling State, Mississippi Valley State, Louisiana College and East Texas Baptist, along with former Louisiana Tech kicker Matt Nelson.

Registration for the clinic is free for children ages 5-13, and can be submitted online at independencebowl.org. Parents must register their children in advance of the clinic. Registration for the clinic will close at 400 registrants.

Clinic participants will learn football fundamentals by going through offensive, defensive and special teams drills. Participants will also be taught different fitness techniques and the importance of being physically active.

Lunch and t-shirts will be provided free of charge at the conclusion of the clinic.
