Jeanerette Man Accused Of Attacking Police Vehicle

A Jeanerette man is behind bars accused of attacking a police vehicle. Authorities say Demon Lewis flagged down the patrol car as it made it's rounds. Agents say when they made contact, Lewis become irate and advised them that he was going to kill a person that owed him drugs. When the agents tried to detain him, they say he began to attack the vehicle. Officers later found out he had several warrants out. Lewis is now in jail on a 4500 dollar bond.
