The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office says they arrested 26-year-old Tiffany Sonnier for conspiracy and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.

A deputy says he developed information that the nurse, a contract employee of the St. Mary Parish Jail, was bringing Adderall into the jail for inmates.

Criminal Investigation Division detectives say Sonnier admitted to trying to conspiring to bring the pills into the corrections center.

While booking her, deputies say they found Sonnier in possession of Adderall pills.

Sonnier had been booked on the following:

  • Conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution
  • Possession of Schedule II narcotics (Adderall)
  • Introduction of contraband into a penal institution

Detectives say their investigation is ongoing.
