GRETNA, La. (AP) — A Jefferson Parish grand jury has indicted 24-year-old man on second-degree murder in the death of a 19-year-old woman whose dismembered body was found along Interstate 10 in Metairie last summer.

Authorities have said Jasilas Wright, a Bourbon Street dancer, died of blunt-force trauma. Pieces of her body were found in June spread over 800 yards of the westbound lanes of I-10.

The New Orleans Advocate reports Adam Littleton was charged with manslaughter in a bill of information in December; Thursday's grand jury indictment supersedes the manslaughter charge.

Littleton is being held in the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center. Bail was set at $750,000.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Littleton.
