JENNINGS, La. (AP) — A Jennings couple hopes to organize a Thanksgiving soup kitchen for hundreds of the elderly, needy and those who would otherwise be alone.
Greg and Trisha Patterson of Bethel Ministries are looking for donors and volunteers, including other area churches and youth groups, to help make their dream a reality.
If they can get together the cash — $720 an hour rent and a $600 deposit and clean-up fee — they want to use the William Broussard multipurpose building at the fairgrounds in Jennings.
