Jennings Police Chief Resigns, Interim Named
JENNINGS, La. (AP) — Jennings Police Chief Todd D'Albor is resigning to accept a position as interim chief in St. Martinville, his hometown.
Mayor Terry Duhon named Danny Semmes, a 28-year veteran officer, to replace D'Albor on an interim basis.
The American Press reports D'Albor, who has served as police chief for six years, resigned Monday.
KPLC-TV reports D'Albor's resignation will take effect Wednesday.
Duhon says he will soon begin the process of selecting a new chief. He added that D'Albor did a great job and he wishes D'Albor and his family the best.
