Jennings Police Officer Shot

Earlier today Jennings Police report one of their own was shot. The officer, identified as Ricky Benoit was shot in the neck and taken to a Lafayette hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police have a suspect in custody but as of yet the suspect's name is being withheld. The investigation is ongoing.
