Jennings Woman Booked On Bank Fraud Charges

A woman from Jennings has been arrested after an investigation into loans that were given out.  33-year-old Dashane Drake was the focus of an investigation that began last month after a tip about some fraudulent activity.

State police says it was a loan kickback scheme that was uncovered when they started looking into the case. They say, all in all, some 225-thousand dollars was taken.  Drake was a manager at Harbor Loans in Jennings. Investigators say Drake would approve loans to customers, then she would have the customers cash the check she gave them, but then make them give her some of that loan money back.
