This week on "Wingin' It Wednesday", panelist Carol Ross and former Congressman Jeff Landry joined "Nathan and Bernie in the Morning" to discuss Governor Bobby Jindal's recent criticisms of President Obama as well as congress' discussions about immigration in America.

Here's what the panel had to say:

1. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is accusing President Barack Obama and other Democrats of waging wars against religious liberty and education and saying that a rebellion is brewing in the U.S. with people ready for what he calls "a hostile takeover" of the nation's capital. Your thoughts?

Jeff Landry started us off:

There is a war going on in this government against religious liberties. It’s something we’ve seen in congress over and over. The problem is that this country was founded on Judeo-Christian principals, and if you look at history and you look at how this country became exceptional, each and every time it was a respect for religious liberties and a respect for God. The more we took God out, the worse the country seemed to get.

Carol Ross posited:

The hostile takeover term probably ignites a lot of people, but that is a legitimate business term.  The thing that he went on to talk about was Common Core. Jindal was for Common Core before he was against it, and now he’s not able specifically to repeal Common Core. We need more local control, and we need to devolve the power out of federal control.

2. Congress is considering what to do about the massive flow of young migrant children crossing the U.S.-Mexican border. What do you think they should do?

Carol started us off:

The false promise of amnesty? Really? Doesn’t look like they’re being sent back to me… The American tax payer should be in revolt. Congress has not passed the Dream Act, so the President issued the deferred action for child arrivals. Now we have a flood of child immigrants. They’re calling it a humanitarian crisis - I would call it a cynical political ploy. This is a travesty.

Jeff concluded:

Think about where they come from. They’ve been indoctrinated in a socialist government, and they’re coming to our country where the Democrats give them amnesty.
What burns me is that the United States has always had an open arm to legal immigration. The sad part about it, is that it’s a slap in the face to all the legal immigrants in this country who go through a legal process to get here.

Now it’s your turn to tell us what you think about today’s Wingin’ It Wednesday topics. Who got it right, who got it wrong, and who was way off? Let us know in the comment section.
