Governor Bobby Jindal has signed a series of bills that attempts to protect children from sex offenders and elderly and disabled from physical abuse. Jindal says House Bill 86 will put harsher penalties on those who sexually abuse the elderly or disabled.
Jindal says House Bill 131 places stricter penalties on sex offenders who fail to carry "sex offender" identification.

Jindal says House Bill 94 transfers the state's missing and exploited children information from the Department of Children and Family Services, to the state police.
