Governor Jindal is urging Louisianians to "pack the arena" in an effort to increase attendance at New Orleans Hornets games and keep the team in the state. A two-year attendance average will be computed after five more games.  After negotiations to sell the team stalled, the NBA is proceeding with its plan to buy the Hornets from the owners. The teams lease through 2014 would have to be honored if game attendance reaches certain benchmarks. Jac Sperling has been the man picked by the NBA to oversee the Hornets  after  the  league's  impending  takeover of the franchise. Sperling says his  assignment is to make the club attractive to a potential buyer and one that would  keep the team in New Orleans.

And in response to questions about whether or not Sarah Palin would be a viable GOP candidate for President in 2012, Jindal wasn't making an endorsement, but he did say he believes Palin could make the case to voters. Jindal said Palin is "absolutely electable". Jindal says that the Washington speculation about 2012 Presidential race shouldn't be its focus.
