Joe Mixon Visits Saints

Running Joe Mixon made a trip to the Crescent City on Tuesday.

The 20-year old Mixon was arrested in 2014 for punching a female Oklahoma student at a restaurant. He later pleaded guilty to assault but served no jail time.

A native of Oakley, California, Mixon was suspended for a year, and performed 100 hours of community service for the incident, which he released on his own.

On the field, Mixon rushed for 2,027 yards and 17 touchdowns in his two seasons at Oklahoma, averaging 6.8 yards-per-carry, while catching 65 passes for 894 yards and another 9 scores.

Last season, Mixon accumulated 1,274 rushing yards with 10 touchdowns, to go along with 37 receptions for 538 yards and five scores.

Personally, I'd prefer the Saints stay away from Mixon, but his skill-set would be perfect for the Saints' offense.
