Joey Durel Willing To Discuss Water Feud With Mayor Langlinais

City-Parish President Joey Durel visited 'Mornings With Ken & Bernie' today to discuss the ongoing issue of water use by the Town of Broussard.  Due to the revelation of misuse of water meters by Broussard and the ongoing dispute over payment for water use, Durel has threatened to terminate the contracts for water, fire protection and animal control for Broussard.

Durel said, "this is one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make and it would have come sooner if I didn't care so much for the people of Broussard."  Durel went on to say, "the only thing Lafayette has received for the generosity extended to Broussard is lawsuits.  We go to annex our own city-paid for golf course and we're met with a law suit."
