Judge To Hear Challenge Of Texas’ Gay Marriage Ban

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A federal court in Texas is scheduled to hear arguments today in a challenge of the state's ban on same-sex marriage.

Two homosexual couples have challenged the ban in the wake of recent legal victories in two other conservative states.

U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia is expected to decide whether to temporarily block the law until a trial can be held.
