Justice Department Suing Louisiana

The US Justice Department is suing Louisiana, claiming the state has violated the National Voter Registration Act by not offering adequate voter registration services at state offices offering public assistance. The Department of Health and Hospitals and Office of Family Services issued a joint statement Tuesday night saying they haven't seen the details of the lawsuit but are complying with the spirit and the letter of the 1993 law.
