Kaplan Hunting Guide Sentenced For Illegally Hunting Ducks

He's not allowed to hunt for five years. That was part of the sentence handed down to Louis Landry of Kaplan after he admitted to illegally hunting ducks during the 2006 season. Landry is a professional hunting guide who owns Landry's Guide Service in Kaplan. Undercover agents posing as his clients say Landry told them to kill more than the daily limit allowed, and to kill abandoned wood ducks that were no longer in hunting season. Landry must also pay a $5,000 fine and serve five years probation.
