Kennedy Addresses Cost Of Non-Emergency Treatment In ER

During an interview on Acadiana's Morning News, State Treasurer John Kennedy said the cost of medicaid represents about 70% (largest part) of the state budget. We talked about the high cost of non-emergency treatment in emergency rooms at hospitals. He said it costs taxpayers roughly 5 times what the same care would cost at a private clinic.
