We've all had that experience of standing outside a store, waiting for a heavy rain to pass. Sometimes, we lose precious time while waiting it out; other times, we rush through the rain and get soaked. Neither are good options.

That's where James Varnado comes in.

Varnado decided to escort people to their vehicles with his own umbrella, an act of kindness that was photographed and posted to social media.

This may not seem like a big deal, but those people that day, it was. Varnado gave the most precious gift we can all give: time. He could have done other things with that time, but he chose to help strangers stay dry and touched hearts in the process.
