Today District 4 council member and Lafayette Consolidated Government Council Chairman Kenneth Boudreaux announced his bid for re-election. Boudreaux has served District 4 since 2008 and served as council chairman since 2011. Boudreaux has been finance chairman five times and Professional Service Chairman three times.

In announcing his candidacy Boudreaux said,

Following successful efforts of maintaining the economic development district of Louisiana Avenue and Interstate 10, it has become evident that I still have work to do.
