Kerry: US Rejects International Presence At Jerusalem Holy Site
MADRID (AP) — Secretary of State John Kerry says the U.S., Israel and Jordan are all opposed to a French proposal for an international presence at the Jerusalem holy site at the center of escalating Israeli-Palestinian tension.
Jordan governs the agreement regarding the site, which is sacred to Jews and Muslims.
The current outbreak of violence was fueled by rumors that Israel was plotting to take over the area.
